It is the time of year when we give thanks for so many things. I want to personally thank you for being a Mike Gast Lawn Care, Inc and Chameleon Fertilization & Pest Control valued customer.
This year, as I have participated in for the past couple of years, I will be participating in the 2022 Holiday Toy Run Presented by Suncoast Porsche, which benefits the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. This annual charity road rally brings together sports and exotic car owners and enthusiasts from around the Suncoast for a morning filled with generous people, beautiful cars and great roads. 2022 marks 11 consecutive years of the annual toy rally!
On Saturday, December 3rd we will all join together in collecting hundreds of unwrapped toys and thousands of dollars in donations for less fortunate children in OUR community. We are proud to say that all of our donations stay right here in Sarasota / Manatee Counties. The goal each year is to do whatever we can to make the holidays a bit brighter for a child in need. We are so fortunate to have many special things in our lives but we do not want to take any of that for granted. There are children who wake up on Christmas morning with no presents to open. Something as simple as receiving a Hot Wheels car or a Barbie doll can have a lasting impact on a child during the holidays. Over the years Suncoast Porsche has donated truckloads of toys and the feeling is unlike anything else.
On Saturday morning the drivers and navigators all meet at Suncoast Porsche for light snacks, sign in, toy donations and application of the vehicle decals. After a quick driver’s meeting we will begin a 115 mile road rally through the Florida countryside and up to our destination for lunch. This year we are honored to have Lakewood Ranch Main Street shut down as the Finish Line for the event. Main Street and Rodeo Drive will be transformed into a car show with all of the rally participants. Spectators are welcome to swing by and check out all the cars as they arrive.
Thi sis what I have been wanting to do for years: I am asking if you would be willing to donate Toys for Tots either by toy or check. If by check, please make it payable to Toys for Tots and send it in to the office. Be sure that we receive it before November 30. BONUS: Mike Gast Lawn Care, Inc. will match your donation up to $25 per check for an aggregate of up to $1000 total of all check donations. If by toy, either Kelly or I will swing by your home and pick up the unwrapped toy. OR better yet, you can come by the finish line early afternoon, on Saturday December 3rd, at the end of Lakewood Ranch Mainstreet, where there will be a Toy Donation Box, courtesy of Suncoast Porsche.
